'The idea dates back to summer 1999. Three wise heads got together, some with experience from making games, some with database backbone experience, and we decided we wanted to make a game by ourselves. We took a look around at what existed and decided we could do better. Nothing wrong with a decent self-esteem when setting out on something like this. So we gathered ideas for a while, and since Star Wars was a movie people were talking about around that time we, well, decided to go to space and sci-fi setting. We were also huge fans of Starcraft and Elite, so it wasn't a hard choice. So we sat down and started to make the actual game then, on our own spare time. Heh, I remember when we had something called spare time. First we outlined ideas on paper, then went to visual design on the screen, and then we started implementing, or programming if you want to call it that. And in February 2000, we launched it for the first time ... my, oh my ... That was a rush!'

Cm is a much loved alliance member. Played every round since round 4, including been in the winning alliance [[FAnG]] in round 10.5 and finishing in the 8th place galaxy in round 12. These are to date his highest achievement. Currently HC with [[F-Crew]]. Cm can be found on the forums under the alias Rc mayhem.

Cm's Biology teacher started him playing the game at a lunch time club

Cm would have played in round 3 if sign up hadn't already closed

Cm has always played Zik when they had proper stealing

Cm stands for Complete_Mayhem, however this did not fit on IRC well

'''F-Crew''' was founded by [[Bazz]], [[Mike]] and [[Wakey]] back in round 1 while sitting in the local McDonalds. [[Bazz]] and [[Mike]] had just been introduced to [[Planetarion]] by [[Wakey]] and together they quickly realised they weren't the only ones at their 6th Form College to be playing this new game. So F-Crew was born with the goal to serve these people, although it quickly became an alliance to serve the whole Farnborough Community.

The alliances turning point came at the start of our second week with the application of [[Seventh]] to join our ranks. While he wasnt from Farnborough he was from just down the road and from here on the requirement to be a resident of Farnborough was dropped. This obviously saw a change in F-Crews aims, these new aims somewhat mirrored those of [[IPC]]'s which quickly led to the two alliances forming a friendship that would pretty much last until [[IPC]] disbanded its PA operations in Round 10.5, after playing that round with their members under the F-Crew tag.

* The shortened name of F-Crew didnt appear until Round 3 and was a product of an alliance-wide compitition to make the alliance name edgier.

* F-Crew is also the only alliance to have played every round uninterrupted.
* [[Wakey]] is one of the few Round 1 veterans to have only been a member of a single alliance.

* The Farnborough Crew was never intended to be the alliance's name. It was a temporary name used as a site title placeholder but it stuck.
* The shortened name of F-Crew didnt appear until Round 3 and was a product of an alliance-wide compitition to make the alliance name edgier.
* F-Crew is currently the longest running alliance.
* F-Crew is also the only alliance to have played every round uninterrupted.
* [[Wakey]] is one of the few Round 1 veterans to have only been a member of a single alliance.

Ceased to officially exist end of [[Round 11]] but instead became a secret [[BG]] in [[Mistu]] under the name [[Angels]], taking only their core players with them, but then seperated from [[Mistu]] half way through the round. It came into being in [[Round 12]] as a secret [[BG]] in [[Mistu]], but decided mid-round to play as a fully-fledged alliance. Although only having half the number of players that other alliances top alliances have, it still managed to finish 10th with the second highest average score. It will continue as a seperate [[Alliance]] in [[Round 13]].
