Core galaxy

Core, or fortress, galaxies are a late PAX tactic involving an alliance concentrating its members in certain galaxies. This tactic contrasted with earlier tactics which involved alliances spreading their members throughout different galaxies in order to make targeting them difficult. The advent of exiling and the expansion of the buddypack improved the viability of this tactic. The success of core galaxies lay in improving communication/co-ordination and maintaining morale throughout the round. Core galaxies have been used by many different alliances, but successfully only by Ascendancy and Apprime.
