A newbie is a player, often new to Planetarion, who has little command of the game. Often they will not understand shipstats nor be a member of an alliance. The term newbie typically differs to that of n00b; the former is a description that merely refers to one's newness to the game, the other is usually considered a derogatory remark, typically leveled at experienced players who should know better.
