PAN stands for "Planetarion: Next". PAN is a new form of Planetarion that will be introduced after round 15. As with the introduction of PAX in Round 10, there will be a short, free round with the old code before the new set is introduced. There WILL be a Havoc round after the conclusion of round 15, like usual.
Why PAN?
- Opportunity to rewrite and smooth out code. The current code is, in many ways, "patched" with added features/bug fixes. Also, the new code will be in a language that Kloopy, PA team's head coder, likes better.
- Opportunity to design a sharper-looking user interface.
- A chance to implement feature suggestions that have accumulated over the last two rounds
