A new arrival to Planatarion, was referred to PA by a banner ad on NationStates.net in the middle of round 13. Has been playing ever since.

13:5 was originally led by GC Nowiz, who downgraded his PA activity after getting a girlfriend. The post then passed to the MoD, Admiral Sam. Admiral Sam was also the founder and HC of Alan's Round 13 alliance, Nautilus. Alan found the original galaxy banner very amusing (mirrored here): [1]

First taste of ministership, I was the MoD at the start of Havoc and the MoW later in the round. Got pummelled when attempting to hold down a flag roid during the Capture The Flag Havoc.

Planned to join Round 14 at the beginning, but could not join until tick 154. This was due in part to the time that he returned from summer camp, combined with an email problem.

In round 14, I took the title of 'Emperor Alan III'. Decided to spring for paid membership, bought a credit somewhere around tick 650. MoD of Galaxy 11:9 for the last few weeks of the round. In the round 14 Havoc, I was actually in the top 10 for the first few ticks. (Round 14 Havoc did not require players to reregister, and Alan got a 'head start', logging in before amny other players. Worst rank was #1450 (Tick 169). Began climbing the ranks from then on out. It was a 'bumpy ride' towards the start, but began to smooth out (less severe incomings) after a few hundred ticks. Climbed steadily towards the top 1000, and plateaud slightly below 600. Broke the 600 barrier around when the tick numbers started getting into the quadruple digits. However, got heavily pummeled (due to a VERY stupid mistake) around December 19th. Went right back down to about 950. Figured I'd salvage what was left of the round, at least recover some of my losses. Landed a 3-fleet attack on the morning of December 22nd, score went up about 400K, worth 80 rank places. :)
