War Frigate

War Frigate - The first craft to be developed in the Frigate class, the War Frigate was originally designed using the new crystal/metal based alloy shielding as a defence against rogue Interceptor attacks on convoys out on the Rim. Their relatively weak weaponry makes them useless against larger vessels but 5 laser turrets allows them to hit the more agile ships with relative ease. Expensive to build, but worth it if being used as escort craft.
