PAN stands for "Planetarion: Next". PAN is a new form of Planetarion that will be introduced after round 15. As with the introduction of PAX in Round 10, there will be a short, free round with the old code before the new set is introduced. There WILL be a Havoc round after the conclusion of round 15, like usual.

Why PAN?

1. Opportunity to rewrite and smooth out code. The current code is, in many ways, "patched" with added features/bug fixes. Also, the new code will be in a language that Kloopy, PA team's head coder, likes better.
2. Opportunity to design a sharper-looking user interface.
3. A chance to implement feature suggestions that have accumulated over the last two rounds

Overall, PAN aims to bring the game 'up-to-date', and increase the playerbase. (which has the intention of making more money for Jolt).
