Cloaking

Cloaked ships are those which don't appear in the galaxy nor private news. Because of this it's possible that you get a certain amount of incomings like 0 hostiles incoming or 0 defense incoming. This gives the opportunity for aswell defense as attackers to cheat the opponent by eitherway sending a lot of hostiles / defense or actually nothing. As a result the opponent has to guess what he has incoming. This is especially in the beginning stage of the game an interesting feature though later in the game people will get Military scans and in those it is possible to see what somebody actually has incoming.

Outdated: Since PaX cloaked ships show their numbers but the scans themselves have errata to them.
