Ships are used in Planetarion for combat.

"Ships" are the core of Planetarion. From round 6 to round 19 there were 4 different races, who each have a different combination of ship types. In round 20 the Eitraides race was added, however its ships were simply different versions of the ships belonging to the other races.

Being good at Planetarion strategy requires you to be well aware at your ships' strengths, and being able to exploit any weak spots in a target's fleet.
