Donations are done in several ways always there to benefit a player in a specific way. The most common way is by farming. People attack another planet which is indirectly under their control. The specific planet under attack will make sure there is no defense so the attacker can easily gain the maximum roid cap on his target. Often people regard this as an unfair practice though others see this as another way of gaining easy roids.
A second way of farming is farming ships. Certain ship types are capable of stealing ships like thieves. Those ships take over ships from a different of their own race. The purpose of this is that the attacker is capable of gaining of different races their best ships to gather a strong fleet.
