  • Full Name: hirr
  • Public IRC Channel: #hirr
  • Alliance motto: hirr today, gone tomorrow
  • Affectionate nickname: lemmings

The correct spelling is hirr - all lowercase. Sadly the wiki software doesn't cope that well with this, therefore the title of this page is wrong.

hirr is an alliance that originally started from a group of Norwegian Action Quake 2 players, calling themselves the Action Alliance (AA). AA started out in round two, and remained unnoticed and peaceful for some light years, and preferred it that way. Untill once upon a day this core of fanatic gamers decided to have a little crazy-style fun by suiciding on The Edge, a big player 'back in the day'. Needless to say all the attackers died horribly, and the myth around the lemmings was born. For more info about this, you should read about the lemming runs.

hirr will never be remembered as a top alliance, cause simply, they were not. People however often refer to them as the alliance that 'played the game the right way'. hirr mainly played for fun, ofcourse lemmings would not waste hours of time playing a game if they did not want to do good. During the rounds hirr has faced a lot of different HC's, and during the last round hirr played (Round 10), there was not an original founder of hirr left playing, and only one original HC and a handful of the original members. Most of the 'old hirr crew' quit after R4, which can be described as hirr's best round (even though there weren't great rankings to back it up, back then).

During it's time, hirr never had any major role in the great scheme of things or in the political play, they've been found allying NewDawn for quite some rounds and just have fun, lemmings and ponies together.

hirr these days, however not playing planetarion as an alliance anymore, is still a very active community with their own messageboard and corperation in EVE-online (hirr corp).

If there is anything you want to know or wonder about, the best idea would be to join #hirr on netgamers, and there might be someone that can fill you in.

Last but not least:

hirr today, gone tomorrow.
