Dagger

Dagger - If you took an Interceptor, tweaked all the best bits up a notch, and then added some serious EMP Surge Detector based technology, then you would have this Fighter class vessel somewhere about right. Created as the Interceptors replacement to take on and smash the new range of Thief vessels, all was going fine until the Damocles incident, where the Pirate was first introduced into conflict, and heavy casualties occurred.

The craft has very low armour plating to keep its mass down, and thus making it the fastest ship on the market at present time. Although very susceptible to Plasma weapons, its speed generally keeps it out of trouble, and its enhanced EMP detecting capabilities make it ideal for going into conflict where Spiders or Tarantulas are in the opposing fleets.

^The above refers to the 'Dagger' as it existed during the early rounds of Planetarion. Right now, the Dagger is a Xandathrii ship, an FI-class Pod. The modern Dagger is also an extremly smalls hip, and must be swarmed in huge amounts to be successful, along with Vsharraks, Sentinels, and/or Arrowheads
