Deus Ex Machina: Official Announcement posted by AlbinoSquirrel

Mission accomplished.

Deus Ex Machina was formed to help suppress stagnation in this game. This round has not stagnated - there have been wars and battles going from nearly day 1. The vast majority of inactivity this round came from boredom with the game itself - not the political situation. We did our part to stop any one alliance group from completely dominating the game. There is no domination this round.

Deus has won - we may not come in first place in the rankings, or have the #1 player or galaxy - but we have won, simply for the fact that we have accomplished our goals. You may disagree with us on this point, and of course, you're welcome to. It is our perception that matters here, and no amount of flaming can take that away from us.

Therefore, it is time to announce our end-round intentions.

When the last tick ticks and scores are recorded, Deus Ex Machina will cease functioning as an official PA alliance. The HC of Deus feels that our presence in the game is no longer necessary - that the game will never reach the lows of stagnation and boredom that it has before.

Instead of leaving the game entirely, however, Deus Ex Machina will change our focus to the PA alliance community. We will provide a forum for PA alliance discussions, without the same restrictions and rules (and wankers) that this forum has. We will provide a neutral news portal. We will provide PA players with a community where they can find other games to play together, where they can discuss strategy and gameplay for any game the community desires. Once the round is over, we will begin transforming our current website into a community site.

It is our hope, that by giving the Planetarion Alliance Community a place to come together, we can save the most cherished part of Planetarion: the community!

To Deus Ex Machina members, officers, and commanders: Well done.

To the true allies of Deus Ex Machina: It was a pleasure and an honor to work with you.

To the enemies of Deus Ex Machina: Well fought.

Baptism of Fire.
