History

From day one Planetarion already had a strong community including a series of #Planetarion channels spread across most of the well known IRC networks. It was on Dalnet however that the first official #Planetarion sprang to life. The channel was owned and operated by Mysternal.

Regulars to this channel were only all too familier with Dalnet's uncanny habit of netsplitting several times a day. Five fun-filled months were endured by the channel's inhabitants before #Planetarion finally established a network of its own on the 2nd July 2000, later to be dubbed PANet.

Sometime around the 19th July 2002 the Planetarion IRC network changed its scope to encompass all games and not just Planetarion under which it adopted the new title of NetGamers. Right now, Netgamers uses 3 different servers, and houses at least 4 different games, all with reasonable player bases. This includes games like Dawn of Myth and Planetia.
