It took a while, but we finally manage to get our reporter to come out from behind the roid he was hiding behind....and off he went to prey on the unsuspecting peeps of Legion.
Wearing the nick of a certain Legion OP and with the help of two cunningly disguised and highly trained assistants (and one highly advanced bot) he headed for #vts.
A simple message to one of the current OPs resulted in an almost instant @ being awarded to our man who was shocked at the ease of obtaining such a highly coverted symbol.
A careful 3 minutes of planning then resulted in the almost simultaneous OPing of our team and deOPing of the current Legion OPs. The takeover was complete and our man had control over #vts. So what did he do you ask? Well not much really.
Content to sit there and await the imminent arrival of the Feds, he had proved how lax security had become around the games top alliance and was making a silent protest by sitting there mocking the ph00ls who had so kindly awarded him the position.
Our reporter was keen to pointout that he could not have achieved this alone and would like to extend his thanks to the following: BiggDogg for being stupid enough to OP him in the first place; Rampage for providing in-channel entertainment by clearly being the last person to realise that our man wasn't who he appeared to be; [Legion]WHIZZ for being the only OP quick enough to try and stop them (he banned one of the assistants before being deOPed himself) and SnAzBaZ for kindly donating his nick for the job ;-)
Apologies are also to be given to Torz who lost his hard earned + in the fracas, it is understood a reasonable amount of begging was necessary for it's return. From our man - Sorry.

The hirr alliance may not be all things to everyone... but we do find ways to amuse ourselves in this otherwise lost round of planetarion.
Have you ever been bashed? Have you ever been condescended to by someone who is 10 times your score and thought that he could do anything, especially if he had the protection of a large alliance tag?
Lemmings are pround and noble creatures, although be it ones who have vices... (cliff anyone?) Hirr's honor was recently questioned by a member of a large alliance. He maliciously attacked planets of hirr, as we find out for the purpose of building a case against all those hirrers "cowering" in Legion galaxies. Most likely because our defense forces mucked up a roid raid of his, and he became enraged at the fact that we would oppose him.
As of Tuesday, Februaury 27... this agenda ridden, arrogant and childish person, who thought he was above the law... realized that he was not untouchable. As a matter of hirr honor, we destroyed all fleets of this arrogant aggressor, in the name of striking back at all those cnuts who give the large alliances in this game a bad name. His once mighty planet has been reduced to rubble.
WE bear no malice towards the alliance he represented, albeit hirr feels we have done a great justice to Planetarion, and a service to this alliance, in ridding it of an oozing scourge.
Lemming shock troops of the 231st and 414th early morning swan dive regiments represented themselves well, and to this, hirr salutes them.
So for all the little guys out there, hirr scored one for all of you. Rejoice with the lemmings of hirr!
(because we are getting persecuted like a christian at a toga party atm!!)

This is an official update from the Fx9 HC. After a set of unfortunate events, a member of the Fx9 HC has decided to leave and in the process, caused as much trouble for us as he could. This included posting a message on PNN (that you may be able to see below) All that was said in this message was untrue (as you can tell by visiting our irc room!! #fx9) and none of the HC have left apart from him. Any claims you may have heard about Fx9 splitting up are untrue, and of course we are still here to provide a 100% service to our members. Some damage has been done to Fx9, but we are sure that the actions of this one induvidual, can be rectified and business will continue as usual!
We look forward to some key changes to the Fx9 alliance being implemented for after the reset, and of course further improvements to our website (www.fedx9.com). For information on Fx9, either e-mail '[email protected]' or contact the alliance ambassador (Brit) @ #fx9embassy.

It seems the brave SHUICFYOW organisation has come under increasing fire recently in light of the recent revelations of activities by certain galaxies in C34.
Recently the following message was intercepted and stolen by our daring reporter from an unsuspecting ph00l:

What does this message really mean? Does it have some underlying message contained within it? Perhaps it contains a secret recipe for minted g0at?
Our daring reporter was unable to comment upon it's actually origins due to an obvious fear for his life at the hands of the OWO, but we will try and tempt him out of his hiding place with a few carrots to bring you more info :-)

After the time and effort put into this alliance. I am sad to announce that Legolas, Zipster and Mr. Brick have resigned from the HC. This was due to the behaviour of other HC members. This will mean that Fx9 will begin to die from now on in. We ask that any members wishing to remain with the active part of Fx9 contact the new alliance in #ziptrax. This is a temp room until we regroup fully.

Cluster 34 has always had a problem with incluster attacks ever since the beginning of the Legion/Æternals feud. At first it was just the Legion galaxies attacking the Æternal ones, but after most of the Æternal tags had fallen the attacks seemed to get worse. Perhaps it is the fact the attacking galaxies (all Legion or Fury tagged) felt they no-longer needed to ally themselves with the others or maybe they were just too cowardly to attack outside of the cluster, but either way they continued to launch 6 hour eta fleets at smaller incluster targets for easy roids - a legitiment, if cruel, tactic.
In many ways this wasn't too bad, fleets were composed largely of pods and did little damage - all it needed with someone to see the incoming and send out a few messages within an hour of launch, but what has developed recently is clearly not in the same spirit.
Using 34:12, and in particular the MoC, as an example this is what the game has turned into: 34:12 never had any Æternals members, have not attacked Legion or Fury planets - perhaps their only crime is defending themselves and a few of their cluster mates from time to time. So does this warrant the treatment they have received? Here is the information for you to decide for yourself:
Over the last few days several planets from 34:4, together totaling more than the galaxy they were attacking, launched fleets consisting of combinations such as 5k battleships and 20k ghosts or 8k WF, 2k WC, 1k BS, 1k DS and 12k Ghosts (not specific - honest) at targets of around 5 million points. These fleets are clearly designed to do one thing and one thing only....kill.
After these almost unstoppable fleet had leveled any PDS and fleet that was unable to be moved (some people don't stay at their computers 24/7 you know) and leaving the planets with scores of just 1 million or less, they send in fleets of astropods to rape the planets of the 400 roids they have.
All of this done with incluster travel times makes them virtually undefendable and it is becoming a more and more regular occurrence in our cluster. Ruining the game for the many small planets as they are not just having their roids stolen, but everything else wiped out too.
Perhaps it is not just our cluster in which this is happening, but in any case, the majority of C34 is eagerly awaiting the reset and the chance to play without someone 20 times our score wiping our planets just for the hell of it from within our own cluster......
This has been a public announcement on behalf of the "Stop-Hitting-Us-In-Cluster-FFS-You-Overgrown-Wimps Organisation" or SHUICFYOW (not bad for a bunch of random words eh?) for short.

Fx9 is an underestimated alliance, with underpayed HC. We formed in the early stages of round 2 as the C29a, and have moved on since then. Since the begining our ties with DLoN, Total Inferno and GODs saw them all merge into our ranks, adding power and leadership qualities each time. The one thing about us is, that we are fairly unheard of. XA heard of us though ( Got ya, Ya b4st4rds!!). Remember that 45k fleet that appeared, raped you and left? That was us. Many alliances have come and gone. Empires founded and empires lost.
Yet hirr has always been involved with each and every important historical event in PA history:
When Concordium ruled Planetarion, hirr was the first to welcome them into the 2nd round of planetarion, with a big loving hug to Edger.
When Fury began wiping out entire galaxies one by one, hirr was there. Fury members studied the lemming tactics of hirr and realized the pure tactical genius of it. They employed it to their use, and improved upon it to the point where they pushed their enemies off the cliff, instead of jumping over it themselves. (we never understood that)
A hirr lemming was spotted holding his ears at the first Blue Tuba founding convention. This lemming still suffers from dizziness, hearing loss, and vertigo...
The formation of VtS itself was crafted in most part by the wisdom of lemming elders, who stated to the original legionairres on the cliffside where they had come to consult hirr for advice: "there is strength in numbers".
One hirr member was reported to say, " I sure am glad that no one has realized the potential of creating an alliance of the top planets by score and strength, because then we would all be screwed".
Legion slipped away with an insidious smile on its face... and VtS was born.
A hirr official was the first to say, "oh shit" when the unholy alliance of Fury and Legion was formed.
And hirr was there when ReBorn was toppled from the triad. We had no idea that bot was illegal when we sold it to them... honest.
So through all the turmoil and chaos, and bashing and whining that has gone on over the past 3 rounds... hirr has survived and flourished... we occasionally lose a few members to a cliff from time to time, and make our roid libations to the PA gods when they see fit to take them, but all in all, hirr is still one of the only original alliances left in PA.
What is our secret, you ask?
We kick ass and don't take things too seriously.
And remember, those furry rodents may be cute and adorable, but do not let the illusion fool you:
Lemmings have sharp teeth.

The RangerCore was formed to try and combat the huge injusticies that are occuring in the Universe at present. We offer our services to help fix a problem you, as a player or a whole galaxy might have. Our numbers are few but most of us are experienced players. We are not a new alliance, we come from various alliances as it is, we just want to make a difference. We are not interested in petty alliance wars and spatts but will try to bring back the fun to some players that are growing very discontent with how they experience Planetarion.
When we grow in size and numbers we hope to be able to help out with bigger tasks, but we will never be a alliance based organisation, so as of now we try to do what we can. We will probably recieve alot of heat because we will not be able to help out with every issue brought before us, but so be it.
Here is are a few case exmples that we might help with if possible:
- You our your galaxy as a whole is being bashed repeatedly from same source. - Your galaxy has problems within your own cluster. Attacks on your galaxy from within your own cluster and such. - You are a player (or several players)in a galaxy where you are being bullied around by a few, or more in your own galaxy.
We will require scans (a paste of galaxy new, incoming overview), any other info, basically all the details you have, mostly as proof that we aren't interfering in business we shouldnt interfer with, eg. alliance wars.

The moment they choose to they can make this game more than interesting again, but that would require risking loosing points and ships. I think they would rather complain than to take that risk.
So that leaves the rest of us. What can we do? Simple, pay attention and take some risk.
There are some grand schemes out there about taking down the triad. Most are doomed to fail because of poor planning, delayed launches, and well know launch times and targets, etc. However, there are some plans out there that are working to some extent. As a PA player you should keep your eyes and ears open. When you hear of a big attack going on at a Legion or Fury galaxy, run some scans to verify it is real then take a chance and attack with full force. Continue to scan but don't panic and pull out too soon.
While Legion and Fury are large they are no where near as large as the rest of PA combined. All it takes is a little patience and some willingness to sacrifice a bit and they can and will be brought down. So quit begging for reset and join the fun. You never know who you might make friends with or enemies of. After all RB was one of the most hated just a week ago; today they have all kinds of new friends.
