Pirate

Pirate. The bigger brother to the Thief, this heavily armoured Cruiser class vessel was only developed in the last few months in order to capture larger craft such as Destroyers that its sibling encountered problems with. Due to the fact that its primary targets were much more resilient, its metal/crystal compound armour plating was significantly strengthened, thus making it somewhat slower than the Thief. Its only weapon, the Tractor Beam Generator encountered early teething problems due to a complicated new tracking system installed at the last minute, and to the dismay of the designers, instead of enhancing the vessels capabilities only served to reduce its effectiveness. Still very resilient to EMP bursts, this well armoured craft is definitely worth its money if you want to capture Destroyers by the dozen.
