This Destroyer class vessel was designed with the hybrid of a standard Destroyer and Spider in mind. Primarily commissioned to combat the losses endured during the Obsidian Nebula Assaults, it was kept in service due to its improved armour class and enhanced EMP pulse cannons. The only real problems with the vessel are due to the sluggish response times in comparison to the Spider, but the trade off in armour over speed was decreed a fair price to pay. This was the first manned EMP vessel on the market due to the increased range of its weaponry.
