The History of The Federation

The Beginning of TTT

Middle of Round 3 while the Universe was still expanding cluster 126 was created and soon after a cluster wide nap was enforced mainly through the efforts of 126:10's GC Lord Davos who had the largest planet in the cluster. Together with ComradeRob 126:4's MoC and 126:11's GC Da Voc Ta (after his galaxy was crushed in a brief war) they created an alliance called The Treaty of Torralies [TTT], early on however problems occurred when another GC in the cluster created C126E at the same time however through persistent negotiations ComradeRob helped the two alliances become one. The alliance kept in contact via a website and through irc #c126 and #ttt.

The trials of TTT

TTT managed to sign several naps between c125-129 and although they were kept to at first things changed when members of four galaxies in c129 turned there greedy eyes on TTT's most aggressive galaxy 126:10 which although was very active it suffered problems with alliance coverage having none other than TTT whereas other galaxies had "connections" with members in alliances such as Legion and Fury. 126:10 however managed to repel the attacks with few roids lost and immediately launched a counterstrike on one of the galaxies with TTT members attacking the other three nap breakers, soon the other GC's of c129 came to Lord Davos agreeing to never again let there ships enter c126.

It was around this time that Lord Davos and ComradeRob decided to join a non Cluster alliance, they scouted around and found a friendly, active and dedicated alliance called X-Alliance, both members soon were promoted with Lord Davos becoming an XA Investigator (Checking out new members and making sure where the old members loyalties lay), ComradeRob became a Squad Leader for a squad called X-Terminators. With new experience ComradeRob and Lord Davos began planning the reformation of TTT although during this period the other HC's of TTT had gone mad with membership and soon over 80 galaxies had joined between c87 and c186.

Around this time two new players entered the leadership of TTT, Malos and Diz. Malos was a friend of Lord Davos and in 52:6 (Poppa's galaxy) [Legion], Diz was from a low Cluster in a [Fury] galaxy and allegedly a member of Fury himself who had become friends with ComradeRob, Malos in his usual style demanded he be made HC of TTT and due to repeated defence of TTT members he got his wish, Diz on the other hand began talks with ComradeRob about founding a new alliance instead of reforming TTT.

TTT now was feared within the high clusters as Legion, Fury and Reborn were in the low ones however TTT was not without its scuffles, Lord Davos's brother OnemagicK in 132:14 was attacked by his own galaxy, OnemagicK rightly called on TTT for retaliation which was duely carried out with the galaxies news being pasted to the TTT commanders. Malos and Diz spearheaded the attack and with the numbers of TTT behind them 132:14 believed Fury had attacked them in retaliation for some strikes they had done with LOST (During LOST and G-II's failed strikes on Fury), within hours of the first few waves 132:14 was ruined with all but two planets defended, a NAP was agreed and further strikes ceased.

The End of TTT and the beginning of The Federation

By this time Christmas had ended and many of TTT's member galaxies had gone inactive with only the core remaining and a few cutting off all contact with TTT now they were secure in there clusters, with so few members being active TTT reformed first joining neXen as a wing and then leaving after little help from neXen, as a last resort the alliance changed its name to The Federation without telling members left a message in the topic and moved to its new channel #TheFederation, ComradeRob, Lord Davos, Diz and Malos all spearheaded the new alliance and were joined by Stan (Who was closely connected with the leadership of Fury and ReBorn) and his alliance Legion of Fury [LoF], two smaller alliances joined ad were quickly assimilated into The Federation, the Phoenix which still adorns our banners today became The Federations symbol, a reminder of our origins in TTT.

Unfortunately during this time X Alliance was experiencing problems after its HC became to big headed and cocky about there ability as an alliance, GooN a member of XA was kicked out and roided after he defended a real life friend whom was the victim of a XA raid even though he was told that his friend would not be hit by the XA HC (Zombie), furthermore the HC member (Zombie) who attacked GooN had hacked into his account, sent his fleet away and put him in vacation.

GooN was offered a place in The Federation by ComradeRob and because of the outrage a large number of the most active members followed him, The Federation informed X Alliance that they were not hostile to them but if they attacked a member or any who chose to leave there would be serious consequences, X Alliance however scoffed at The Federation, accused them of poaching alliance members (including an HC member (Spirit)) and declared war on The Federation. Malos however had no been idle and had used his contacts in Legion galaxies to join The Federation and add some serious muscle among these include Poppa and Lantador (both finished in the top 10 of round 3) with Poppa's help and The Federation's newly filled ranks we were able to utterly crush X Alliance in a matter of days with most remaining X Alliance members defecting to The Federation, those who didn't were identified through Lord Davos's use of the X Alliance database where he as an XA Investigator had full access to member and even HC records.

Shortly after the initial and highly destructive raids on X Alliance, Fx9 joined in attacks for their own reasons (they also NAP'd with The Federation) and finished off the last members of X Alliance, finally GooN hacked into Zombies accoun and wreaked vengeance on Zombies planet for hacking him, our war with X Alliance had ended with no more than 10 X Alliance members remaining, as a last ditch effort they simultaneously joined SL.

The rise of The Federation

The Federation had quickly won its first war and members swarmed to join us, with recruitment relative flexible except on one issue, members HAD to be active and not merely looking for defence, many new members were added in this time who although were newbies were dedicated to Planetarion and the Federation. For an alliance such as The Federation and many others war is a way to become respected, The Federation clearly defined its intention to have as few NAP's as possible and avoid conflict and went as far as to declare itself Legion and Fury friendly unlike virtually every other alliance at the time. Because of the uproar on the alliance forums and LOST's failure at attacking the triad they were desperate to show they meant business and how else to prove it but picking a fight they could win. Alas for LOST is was not that simple, they attacked the smallest HC member and met huge defence with over 1,500,000 ships at there target, they had wrongly assumed that The Federations largest members weren't active and were doing us a favor, they discovered to there cost that this was NOT the case and the attackers were annihilated. Retaliations were quickly performed on LOST members and there galaxies, LOST tried to get there Junior alliance to help (lost2k) but they suffered some grievous losses before lost2k fed up with its parent alliance controlling it split of to form Deep Space Mining Core [DSMC] and later Mission Impossible [MI].

At this point The Federation had become recognized as a rising alliance and more alliances tried their luck, Fx9 members in a few galaxies attacked some of The Federations members and a war was narrowly averted by the Fx9 diplomat (Brit). We continued our rise to power with #TheFederation becoming the 4th most active public alliance channel, most viewed us as strong as Xanadu and weaker than the war torn ReBorn, talks began with ReBorn and Elysium of a round 4 alliance and use of Elysium’s private server with all bit one HC member of The Federation in agreement that this was the way to go, Diz however who was good friends with CpV HC Add and some of the Fx9 HC saw ReBorn as a weak point and tried to create a round 4 alliance with Fx9 and CpV. Due to the appearance of disarray in CpV later Century, The Federation HC decided to look into its possibilities but primarily focus on our co-operation with Elysium and ReBorn.

The Federation decided to reorganize its large membership of 180 members into three wings, TF1 would be its training wing and GooN who was popular among the smaller members became its Wing Commander, TF2 would have the core membership and provide most of the muscle in helping TF1 grow as its numbers were far more numerous than its weaker brother its Wing Commander was BigJay, TF3 became The Federations elite wing primarily for its largest members mainly is Legion/Fury galaxies and often did not tag but launched nightly raids under the leadership of Malos who had resigned as HC to become TF3's Wing Commander.

The Federation undergoes severe internal upheaval

Seeds of distrust were sadly sown in The Federation after a log was provided of Diz talking with Add about removing Malos as TF3's Wing Commander (Malos was believed to be most opposed to Century and Add in particular), due to Diz and Stan’s continued disappearances The Federation was now having most decisions made by Rob and Malos, Rob at HC level and Malos at member level, Rulers of Darkness [RoD] under JonBoy's leadership fully joined as a wing of The Federation and a smaller alliance Knights of Legacy [KoL] under Red Cross Knight (RCK) soon followed adding there strength to The Federations now large war machine, unfortunately KoL's Wing Commander had a distinct dislike of GooN and scuffles between the two wings became frequent with such internal problems Diz was able to further push his plan this time a merger with Century after Fx9 was absorbed, the HC was split over how to handle Diz and his continued treachery after it became apparent he was now a Century HC, with the fear of Diz's expulsion could rip The Federation apart he was allowed to remain and Malos furious with Diz's continued interference in the wing Structure of TF2 and TF3 decided to resign and leave The Federation and join ReBorn to help strengthen their links with The Federation (virtually all TF3 left to ReBorn, Legion, Fury, Xanadu), without Malos's help Rob was becoming overwhelmed and Diz managed to arrange a meeting where the entire HC of The Federation along with the LC of The Federation voted over a merger with Century without even seeing the merger document, amazingly the decision was carried with all but one HC opposed to the merger, Diz's victory was however short lived when Malos showed the HC and LC's the actual merger document and the decision was over turned, Diz left The Federation is disgust taking two members with him one being Dollars a LC.

Diz's departure appeared to many to be a severe blow mainly due to his propaganda machine making the rift appear a lot larger that it was, RoD Wing Commander JonBoy expressed worry the alliance was dissolving and due to KoL's and TF1's increasing hostilities things appeared to have gone sour, eventually TF1 and TF2 went to war with both Wings suffering large losses and as a result KoL was disbanded, GooN the Wing Commander of TF1 decided to breakaway with TF1 and form TNi and unsurprisingly he did it in a spectacular way taking over #TheFederation and announcing it and then leaving the channel with no Ops, this shattered RoD's faith in The Federation and they declared they were separating as well, The Federation HC didn't begrudge them and lent there continued support, Rob spoke to Forest and Equinox and informed them The Federation wouldn't be participating in a triad with them next round, with that done the entire Federation HC and LC resigned.

The Federation disbands

The membership was informed and suddenly splinter groups appeared, one calling themselves Unity gathered up all the best of TF2 and reactivated TF3 members and with help of Malos and Rob were able to reduce The Roman Fortress (Game) from 2.7b points to 68m within less than a day during the havoc period. Another group called Veterans of The Federation or just Veterans tried to reform The Federation with the Leadership of Chro (Deputy TF2 Wing Commander and LC member) it was moderately successful although only 1/4 of The Federations members joined (Malos gave Veterans the old member list). The third group to emerge was TNi under GooN's leadership, continuing his usual form he managed to kill another alliance but this time one he was the HC in. The forth group were Ruler of Darkness and now independent alliance again managed to remain nearly unscathed. The final group was Immortal not really a splinter group of The Federation but the result of Fx9 and Century's merger it never the less profited from The Federations demise with many Diz loyalists defecting.

So ended an exciting but brief time in Planetarion’s Alliance history.

Round 4

Veterans was reduced to a few members and changed its name at the end of the round to Ue

Immortals disbanded and the old Fx9 HC are now attempting to reform as Fx9, possible links to The Federation next round dependent on their recovery.

Rulers of Darkness survived the round and are expected to continue into Round 5 even though they lost Doc (former TF3 Wing Commander (after Malos quit)) to XF after a disagreement with JonBoy although there is a possibility of both RoD and XF having close ties with The Federation next round if they shape up.

Knights of Legacy have become a Parallel Alliance still run by RCK and although they weren’t the dominant parallel alliance in their parallel they weren’t considered the worst.

Unity initially dominated the top 100 galaxies but defected to there galaxy mates alliances (our members were a victim of our own success) with all but 7 members remaining who managed to run Unity's Junior alliance for some time (Mystique).

Mystique was quite successful and lived for quite a long time through round four.

However when Mystique officially started recruiting, several HC of Unity were assigned to deal with it till further notice, this did lead to a level of miscommunication between Unity and Mystique (at this point Unity was losing members hand over fist, and even more galaxies started fake tagging, Mystique was not aware of the state Unity had fallen into and believed they had full Unity support which was not the case. Even as Unity declined Mystique members increased general arrogance especially in #UIY leading to a increase of hostilities especially in parallel 1 with the elite P alliance ONE who believed they had Xanadu support.

The order was given by Malos to close all public channels, #mystique and #UIY. This helped to hide the fact that Unity was deteriorating and Mystique now had the upper hand. As there was nothing left for the HC member Storms to manage in Unity, he stepped down to take full control of Mystique. Mystique worked quite well, and was a top 12 alliance through most of the beginning to the middle of the round. However Storms began to have some real life problems, and because of this stepped down as the HC. J0sh took his place and ran things himself for a while. When Storms returned, J0sh was happy for them both to manage Mystique.

However Storms, fed up with the continual lack in activeness, while also being involved in other alliances (NoS) left Mystique. Near the end of Mystique's demise, after several failed attacks due in part to lack of activeness and coordination, much deliberation on Mystique's future occurred. With Storms no longer an HC, the situation became critical as J0sh and fellow LC’s became restless and J0sh soon left, fed up with the state of Mystique at the time, and soon afterwards, the other HC and LC decided to call it quits. .Not long after that Mystique collapsed, as no one was willing to step up and take full control like J0sh and Storms had.

There were then talks and discussion about trying to get Unity back up on its feet, today the public channel (#unity) is open for people to drop by, but the alliance is not adequately functional, and will probably defect back to its father The Federation.
