The previous events combined with New Dawn's inability to muster more thought into PA than a blind Alzheimer's patient lead to a predictable outcome: another 1up victory. This means the winners of PaX rounds to-date are 1up, Elysium and eXilition. There is also the half-round played in utter bad taste by stagnating the game from tick0. FanG belongs to the list too.
I can only wonder: where have the ruthless alliance leaders with balls of steel disappeared? Seems the braindrain has been so severe that the current batch of alliance leaders are a mockery to the very title they hold. It's a real shame. Here's a few excuses grabbed from AD (NOTE! edited for anonymity);  "it was Sid's propaganda! His jedi mindtricks were too much", "since WP wasn't around... surely someone had to try and fence it out?", "we NAPed the #1 alliance to avoid incomings while recruiting past them, but still unfortunately failed. To show what a disgrace we truly are, we will uphold the NAP to make the remaining month totally uninteresting!", "i am against blocking, static NAPs and the such... however, if its to our advantage, I would definitely say its out of the question to break such agreements. Totally unhonorable." etc..
Fracked up.

The Man in Red has been busy as alliances continue to fall. Hydra took a trip to the otherside with Insomnia being left crippled due an internal dispute between SkyHead's battlegroup called Demolition Squad and the Insomnia staff (more comedy in the follow-up). A battlegroup raised to an alliance couldn't contain a battlegroup on a leash *shrug*. Two fine failures to serve as a warning to any future wannabe alliance commanders.
Reunion boosted itself recruiting the members of these two alliances to claim #1 for a very short period of time. Drama was present due a member of PAteam merging the remains of Hydra into Reunion without following due procedure. An illegal merge so to speak. An apology from Kloopy explained the difficulty in undoing the process and the merge stayed in effect. The fanfare from tripping mushrooms could be heard from miles away, as not only had their opposition (LCH-Insomnia) crumbled but also Reunion had taken the spotlight for being evil, recruiting no-good'ers.
Later on an in-game copy of Reunion memberlist began circulating the Web. Meanwhile the head multihunter, xontas, was sacked. Pieces. Puzzle. Together.
On the forums the round15 galaxy system has been brought up on discussion alongside changes planned into races for round16.

News / Soapbox

It's over, folks. Ticks closing to and end. A jolt of pretentious coolness sweeping #planetarion in anticipation of a brief celebration for those whom took part and not least the winner's of R14. The tapping of thousands of fingers on keyboards throughout the world, while it could substitute for a raving enthusiastic applause it doesn't even come close to the real thing. For the #1 planet, alliance and galaxy from the ever kind PAWiki admins I give you the closest thing to the real thing itself. For all the wanna-be winner's in 1up behind elviz, better luck next time, suckers.

Respect to all the new players battling it out in the cold universe amidst all the merciless roid runs. Of all the alliances I'll have to say well played to Tides of Fire, xVx, F-Crew, Vengeance and The Galactic Vikings. A special mention for the crazy G-II players; nothing quite like being offered defence channel infoes from a G-II player (myself being the GC) while noting on Sandmans that he's the only one listed in the whole alliance.

Is there a way to briefly sum up R14? Black comedy comes to mind. All the fluctuation in the alliance front had good comedy value, yet made it easier for the hardened mushroom staff to wrap up the round. Blocking with their flak alliance being #1 from start to finish kind of says it all about the weak opposition they had this round. LCH. Please. Disband. Also, could Sid please step up and give some information to all the "HCs" of other alliances on how to steer real no-nonsense alliances? The kids don't get it.

Until we meet again in another life I bid you all farewell.
