Led by Synthetic_Sid, former CEO of The Fury, and Mazzelaar, 1up are one of the few alliances to have won two rounds in a row (Round 11 and Round 12). 1up won 4 of the 8 rounds they played, Round 14 and Round 17 as well as the aforementioned two, and were consistently a contender for the number 1 alliance ranking.
1up were one of the most highly respected, and feared, alliances of the PAX era, and can be counted as one of the superpowers of early PAX. They achieved some of the most dominant and intelligent wins in Planetarion history. One example of the second type, round 17, saw 1up keep the vast majority of their top planets out of tag for most of the round, leading to their score appearing lower than it truly was, and enabling them to fight a fast and efficient war once they brought their planets intag against tired opposition. 1up were only ever defeated by other multiple round winners, eXilition and Ascendancy.
