Notable I think was in Round 4 Elysium not only defended their members but did a full gallaxy coverage in case of hostiles. Because of this they could even make stronger galls in the top 100 who were partly Elysium. but also because of this they would attract more members due their notable honour in defense and huge numbers of ships they had spare that they even could defend non-members.

odd as my gall was legion/cell/nos we still had massive hostiles in that round being at the end of the top 100. but only elysium was capable of defending an entire gallaxy while we could from other alliances only expect to cover their own member(s) if possible.

What was the general consensus, as in, whom nicked the spotlight for a Planetarion related aspect through carrying out their ideals without drumroll does beckon recognition. In contrast there is always the talking in which certain characters manage to portray their alliance in a good light, say Eclipse, while they in reality were not any better (and imo, worse) than the other top alliances of played rounds. In botch cases the alliances are remembered for something they did. The first due deeds. The second due saying so. --master cheerios

I'd rather the whole issue of what alliance is good/evil not be taken up on the wiki proper. I think their actions should be reported and judgements be made by the reader. All that said, my galaxy had 3 nos members in round 4 and was defended in its entirety by nos and even Legion several times. so... isnt it up to addup the policys of an alliance? as its part of the alliance how they function or not. like you said nos aswell for legion does gall defense cell doesnt. but i had the idea for that round that ely defense was notable compared to other alliances. though this cannot be said for example in round 5 where ely couldnt manage their success anymore at that level. and thats where other alliances maybe changed their policy
