Round 7

VisioN was founded in Round 7 - thouight its first real, complete standalone round was round 8.

There was at first no intention to make it an alliance. The HC (including Legator, Altor et al) merely wanted to form a Battlegroup in the Newx Block, and a lump sum out of an alliance called TPS.

The Legend that is VisioN started out with only two galaxies, and after more friends wanted to join in and later, some interesting random allianceless people got mixed into our galaxies we found out ourself with 75 people in 5 galaxies, which was a considerable achievement in such a short time.

Vision's website and other critical tools to run modern alliances, was modestly based on an old server in Haven's kitchen, which enabled VisioN to organise attacks and defence in privacy. There are amusing stories when the HC had to call/sms Haven in the middle of the night to reboot the server...

With the progress of the round in which the Block Newx got owned, VisioN stood active and fought their way through the round. Of course we also lost players but the core was active and due the overhelming inactivity in Newx we broke from them and went on our own. We started to recruit active players out of our cluster alliances and friends who were also fed up.

We started to support FAnG with attacks on Fury & ViruS. FAnG offered us to become a wing of them but in the very last second we refused that and became our very own alliance.

The first HC´s were as founder : Legator

and as cofounders : Seekshot, Haven, Altor.

Round 8

In round 8 VisioN cooperated with Ministry and Lost (which wasnt really a win) and in this round VisioN had our first top 100 planet and a quite good average score (around 13 to 14 million), which compared favourably to the other alliances. VisioN stayed mainly neutral but supported now and then Titans or Fury in hitting eachother (just on a limited basis, aquiring co-ordinates from both sides :)).

Round 8 was one of our best rounds in the opinion of the HC, and formed a solid basis for the future.

In this round ^Wannabe^ and Androx joined the command teams and Seekshot got dropped.

Sovereign also joined VisioN at the start of the round, and was quickly promoted to a DC Position, which he held untill R13 (except R11).

Round 9

After the long break Vision wanted to stay “solo” again, but private galaxies made that impossible. Initially, the HC wanted Visionaries to join galaxies with mates without considering their alliances, and encourage neutral play. For example, Legator was in a galaxy with some old mates and that again was part of a Block. It consisted of the by that time SWEET-alliances. That and the fact that many other VisioN galaxies were also shared with other alliances (SWEET+others), made VisioN decide to not join those galaxies because from an early stage it became apparent that Blocks were being created. By that time VisioN started to cooperate with Rock, Templar and TFD. But at the same time were were in talks with the VOM-Block. We joined, as most know, the VOM-Block only because of the fact that the opposition had significantly more members. This decision was made on the basis of trying to make the round more fair, and thus fun.

As most know the result was that VVOMM (VisioN, ViruS, Olympians, Ministry, Madcows) were bashed heavily. VVOMM were outnumbered by WEETNAHR and whoever by 3.5 to one, and were unable able to fight back effectively. But like in Round 7 VisioN stayed active and fought back and never gave up. I must say with some more spirit of the other allies we could have achieved more.

Sadly after joining the VOM-Block, VisioN lost Haven as a HC (she joined Rock) and a few members. Another significant blow to the Alliance was surely the small universe (3,500 planets) and the outcome was a lack of targets. But as always – VisioN didn’t give up.

In this round Skycrane was so gracious and supported the VisioN community with a second server, which was first class. If one server went off line the other one was up. Never had really problems (only at one time both servers went down.) This stability on the technical side of the alliance helped DCs and others considerably.

Round 10

In round 10, the round of the “new PA” VisioN started completely solo – random Galaxies made that possible again. VisioN launched attacks in the first two weeks without fear or favour. But there were other Blocks. The EET block (Elysium, Eclipse and ToT and friends) and on the other side FAnG and Dragons. Due to a result of an even smaller universe again (1900 planets in the beginning) there was a fat lack of planets again – result was Vision was assailed from both sides (often similtaneously), and formed a new definition of heavy incomings (Sovereign despaired). Vision decided that the only way forward was to join one side, so napped with FAnG and Dragons. The outcome was a nice and interesting fight with the opposite side until the big “happenings” happened. Later on Vision participated in some nice big battles with NoS/hirr who themselves joined the EET side. Both parties made a full war and we gave each other heavy incomings. The best night was were Vision launched on 56 NoS/hirr planets at the same time – that is one of the nights I won't ever forget in Planetarion. Stongs are still sung in glory of that night! Great work from our BC´s (Desse and Rember).

VisioN finished with 7 top 100 planets and had at one time 3 top 10 planets (One got roided, one suicided his ships by fault (Benneh!) and another just got outgrown later on – due to strange “tactics”) It was again a very incoming-intensive round but VisioN's DCs almost managed to stopped all reported incomings (Vision had an excellent record in this regard at this time). Even if they came with 8 fat waves like on our top planets!

Disbanded. Splintered into xVx and Reunion whom continued to play in round 14.
