Prelaunched defence is a PAX tactic whereby a planet launches defence in advance of the actual attack appearing. Generally used with fr/de defence versus fi/co attack fleets this was widely used for the first time by Ascendancy in Round 30, and went on to be used noticeably by other alliances such as Apprime
