Veneratio

Veneratio began in Round 11 as a result of two Alliances, Dark Omen and LoDoom, merging. At this point, there were 5 HCs: Shiva, Vercingetorix, Gunders, Eleint and Chaddy. Vercingetorix and Gunders left, and Arfy was promoted to HC status.
At the beginning of Round 11, Veneratio was below the top 20, and were still refining their policies and structure. A mass recruitment campaign was launched, bringing in some 20 players. Veneratio then took in the smaller alliance of DaRkKnIgHtS, but quickly departed again due to a difference in playing attitudes between the two groups.
As the round was progressing, Veneratio was buckling under the pressure of several large players and their incomings, which saw to players such as Deco and Gekke leaving, and dropping many places in the universe rankings
After a simple IRC bot was created by Arfy, Veneratio now had its own Arbiter, and the HC appointed a new team of DCs, made up of Beermonster, Jase, Jonabe, Rylando and Truler who were able to cover defence calls during most hours of the day. It was from then on that Veneratio could start its rise up the rankings.
Towards the end of the round, Veneratio had grown to #12 in the universe rankings, and were gaining on NoS, who held the eleventh place. Due to a decrease in activity in NoS, and a full-scale attack on them by Veneratio, the much-desired 11th place was gained, and a top 10 spot was not far off, due to FAnG losing 18 million in score because Irvine's planet was closed by the multihunters. In the last week of the round, Veneratio suffered a huge blow, dropping back down to #12, after Beermonster (their third biggest planet) left in-game while drunk. His return 3 days later gave Veneratio those much needed millions to claim 11th and eventually 10th place.
This was a strong round for Veneratio, ending with 2 top 100 planets (and one in spot #101), and a top 10 alliance place.
