What is a Battle Calculator?
A battle calculator is a tool used to calculate the outcome of a Planetarion battle given the details of that battle, like ships, roids and structures.
The History of Battle Calculators
The first Battlecalculator that Sovereign recalls, was a downloadble client made by NewDawn, for Round 3. Not only did it calculate the battles, but also estimated the cost of fleets plus a few other handy things.
The first public web-based battle calculator was written by Joror, and then later updated by Gnome King. Introducing PaX, those battle calulators where no longer usable, and a new one was written by Blazde based on the originals by the above two.

Current Battlecalculators (R17)
